The Game

Like many of you, we will be watching the Super Bowl this weekend. Well, it is more likely the Super Bowl will be on the television, and we will come in and out of the garden to catch a play or two. But, nevertheless, we've purchased our chicken wings, our chips and salsa, too, and will be enjoying the day here at home as a family. That is, after, we run the Cardiff Kook 10k!

This said, after hearing this short piece, by Scott Simon on Weekend Edition, just before last year's big game, his words still resonate strongly in our minds and hearts. It has made it more difficult to watch, more difficult to enjoy, and certainly more difficult to cheer on.

**And well, Simon's words spoken today, (2.2.2013) were equally as poignant.
