I have never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day, but I have a little man that loves to decorate for each and every holiday that comes along on the calendar. So, I have to forget about all the reasons why I this isn't my favorite of holidays, and pull out some supplies to decorate.
These doilie-type hearts he just happened to spot on a recent trip to Target, and well, they made the project really simple, and completely age-appropriate to complete. I pulled out some left over yarn, which we essentially sandwiched between two hearts using tape or glue - or both. We cut the yarn at random lengths, and hug all about the house.
To these decorations we need to add some more valentine crafting, lots of extra love and a sweet or two - now, that sounds like a nice holiday for a little one.
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, much!
ReplyDeleteI don't care for Valentines day much, either. But I think I need to make a bit of an effort this year since my kids are enjoying marking each and every holiday no matter how minor. this looks like a fun and easy decorating idea!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet,
