The Cardigan

I am still plugging away at this sweater for my little man.  I finally finished the hood - it never seemed to end. I have asked myself over and over, 'why in the world did I choose a pattern with a hood?' But, I did, and there's no turning back. My little man is nearing 4, and seems to be taller than what this pattern allots, as I am also in need of a longer sweater. I picked up that first row of stitches that I cast on nearly two months ago, and added a few inches to the bottom.

Now, with the hood off the needles and the sweater lengthened, I'm off to sew up the sleeves, block and knit that final ribbing around. Oh, those ribbing rows are going to be long. (from the bottom, all the way up around the hood and back down again). I think I can; I think I can; I think I can. (it appears I've been reading way to much of The Little Engine that Could)

  2. Your extended rib looks like it was intended. Anxious to see the finished product.

    1. It is the Odette Cardigan, by Carrie Bostick Hoge, found here - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/odette-hoodie. It was a great pattern to follow.

And the magazine in the top photo is Selvedge, a fiber/textile publication out of the UK - one of my favorites. They also have a neat dry goods, online shop - http://www.selvedge.org/.
