From the Garden :: 1.28.2013
This was a great week for 'firsts' in this home. We cut our first ever head of purple-cauliflower, and we got our first egg from our new hens. Good things, indeed. Whew, what a week!
We also seemed to pull a variety of goodies from the garden that went straight into a pan on the stove. Onions, cilantro, broccoli, kale, carrots and parsnips.
This week, we were also able to pluck enough Meyer Lemons to make a delicious, and large, batch of lemonade. So, on this cold, rainy and wintry weekend day we enjoyed a delicious cup of lemonade. Take that (super delicious) hot chocolate!
Hopefully your Monday is off to a great start, and head on over here for other garden-goodness.
O...M...G... that cauliflower is GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors of nature sure are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures, as always, astound me. I love to read your Harvest Mondays.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shade of purple that cauliflower is! Almost too pretty to eat. (almost)
ReplyDeleteCongratulatons on the first egg. Our hens are ramping back up with egg production now that the days are getting longer and they have finished their annual molting process.
